Coach Peter Clark Visits CAMEL

May 24, 2007 on 10:48 am

USA Swimming Sport Development Consultant, Peter Clark, was CAMEL’s guest Wednesday. Coach Clark taught a Club Leadership and Business Management School throughout the day. CAMEL hosted representatives from BAC, FVST, VALY and VSYM to join them for this exciting opportunity. Coach Clark presented strategies coaches and board members can use to work together to be effective in leading and governing their teams. He also provided information about further resources USA offers to clubs to facilitate their missions. Coach Clark then brought his decades of experience to the deck last evening. He mesmerized CAMEL’s athletes and engaged them in a wonderfully focused practice. After spending some time addressing body positioning, Coach Clark reviewed technical aspects of all four strokes and then gave each athlete individualized ideas to improve their technique. CAMEL athletes benefit greatly from hosting some of the most accomplished coaches in the swimming world. Our next vistiting coach will be a third return visit from Phil Moriarty who, in addition to coaching at Yale University for years, has also been a coach for the USA Olympic Team.
