Bring a Friend Day

If you have a friend (or two) that safely can swim one length of the pool, bring them to practice on Bring a Friend Day, Thursday, October 5. Swimmers 4-104 are welcome to swim with us for the day. This event is FREE. Board members will be available with Membership information that evening and Coach Ann will be available to answer questions about CAMEL after practice. Light refreshments will be served.

Lap-a-Thon

On Sunday October 29, CAMEL will be holding a fun-raising, fund-raising, Lap-a-thon from 3:00 - 5:00PM. Each swimmer, including our new Masters athletes, will collect pledges and then see how many laps they can swim in the two hours allotted. There will be a Halloween party 5:00 - 6:00 PM after the lap-a-thon for all participants. A pledge form may be accessed on the documents page, or click here.

Meet Commitment Forms due Wednesday

If you have not submitted your form, please do so by Wednesday. Forms may be downloaded from the documents page. There is also a link on the top of the meets page or you can click here.

Starter’s Clinic

There will be a Starter’s Clinic offered on Wednesday, October 11 for USA Officials desiring to move up from Stroke and Turn Judge to Starter and for Starters to recertify. Details.

Suit Order Confirmation

The team suit order has been finalized and submitted. Please confirm your order is correct. If it is, anticipate your suit and cap will arrive before our first meet October 20. If there is an error, please contact Coach Ann ASAP.

CAMEL Family Picnic

Come join us Saturday, October 7th for CAMEL’s first social of the year which is a Fall Family Picnic. It is being held at the Harvard Crew Training Camp, 78 Military Highway in Gales Ferry. Details.

Deadline for submission of Meet Commitment Forms has been extended

Because CT Swim has not posted many meet announcements yet, the deadline for submitting your Meet Commitment Form has been extended. The form is now due by 8:30PM, Wednesday, September 27. You may access the form by clicking on the link in this news item. The form is also available on the top of the “Meets” page all season. You may submit an updated Meet Commitment Form at any time and the new information will prevail for any meets that we have not already submitted the team’s entry for. Forms should be submitted (preferably via e-mail) to Coach Ann.
